About Us

At Kinetic, we believe that contemporary classical music has a place outside of the concert hall - in more informal environments, whereby audience members can sit around tables, have a drink, and socialise between pieces. We première brand new works, and passionately believe in programming and breathing life back in to recent existing works, something which seems neglected in the current contemporary music climate. All music at our events is written by living composers, and so far we have showcased the work of 9 exciting young composers, featuring over 40 different musicians. We hope to build on our initial momentum by commissioning composers, and continuing to showcase existing works, in a variety of performance situations. We are fully dedicated to celebrating the very cutting edge of UK contemporary classical music, and building a community around this wonderfully innovative music.
